SERVING MINISTRIES

First United Methodist Church Shreveport is dedicated to facilitating opportunities for relational ministry within our neighborhood, the greater Shreveport community, and throughout the world for the growth of the Kingdom.
Locally, the Serving Ministries Team is dedicated to providing emergency assistance, community grants, and local opportunities to our congregation and the great city of Shreveport. We strive to connect those in need with those who can give and vice versa.
 
Globally, the Serving Ministries Team by means of our Haiti Initiative works specifically in Les Cayes, Haiti. Teams take various types of trips multiple times a year, sending supplies, and offering a monthly orphan sponsor program for two children’s homes we help support through our partnership with the Global Orphan Project (www.theglobalorphanproject.org).
