Purpose: First United Methodist Church Men are a creative, supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually and to seek His will daily.  Our primary purpose is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men and in all their relationships.

United Methodist Men Challenges Men To:

  1. Engage in daily Bible study and prayer.
  2. Bear witness to Christ's way at home and work through words and actions.
  3. Engage in practical Christian service.

First UMC’s Haiti Mission

The United Methodist Men are joining FUMC’s Haiti Initiative by providing opportunity rather than a handout. We want to "teach a man to fish rather than give him a fish."

Our efforts will take the form of micro-grants to provide education in trade skills and micro-credit to help people develop skills in running a cottage industry so that they can repay their original micro-loan. This will end up creating a self-sustaining resource for future micro-credit.

Look for more information in the months ahead.
