Most people are surprised to learn that almost HALF the adult population is single.  First United Methodist offers programs for this huge segment of our society.  Visitors and people of other faiths are welcome too!

 
The purpose is not that of a dating service (although many do meet and even marry) but rather to provide for fellowship and support in a safe and comfortable environment.  We can sometimes offer free child care when we meet at the church if you request it in advance.

Being single does not mean you have to be alone.  There are people to meet and activities every week.  Click on a link below for a pre-planned schedule.  However, members may plan outings on short notice, so our email is the BEST way to hear about upcoming things to do.

Group 1 - Active Singles
Most of those attending are in their 30’s to 50’s.  We enjoy volleyball and other games.  We also do volunteer work in the community, attend sports and local events, go on day trips, river tubing or canoeing, and frequently go out to lunch, dinner and movies.

 

The group meets every Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM.  Also Fridays, we meet at 11:30 AM for lunch and 5:30 PM for dinner and movies.

 

 

 

 

 

   

 Group 2 - 50+ Singles
This group is for fellowship, fun, and spiritual growth for those of us ages 50s, 60s, 70s and up.  We have a Dinner and Games Night every month at First Methodist Church where we enjoy company and conversation along with good food, board games, dominoes, cards, pool, ping pong, etc.  We occasionally do varied activities such as attending a play or the movies, and eating out together.
