Serving Ministry at First United Methodist Church

At First United Methodist Church, we believe that each of us is called to participate in the outreach ministry of Jesus Christ.  John Wesley and our forbearers saw our work in the simplest, plainest terms: do all you can, in all the places you can, to all the people you can.

United Methodists are mission-oriented and socially conscious.  The Church has a long history of concern for social justice, and its members have often taken forthright positions on today's important issues.  For more than 200 years, Methodists have worked to help those in need all over the world.

"Let your light shine before others, so that they might see your good works and give glory to your father in heaven."  -Matthew 5:16
